Diamond Bar... the early years
Diamond Bar, CA flyover from 1964 aerial images.
Proprietary AI colorization process.
Diamond Bar panoramic view, as it appeared here in July 1964...
The area is barely recognizable 60 years later, but still reveals some historic artifacts as can be seen in this video; including the north Diamond Bar Blvd entrance at Brea Canyon Road showing the memorable fountain, Diamond Point I during early construction, the original Palomino Road Rancho Estates, and so much more.
The noticeable absence of the Orange (57) and Pomona (60) freeways running through this area provides an historical perspective of the geography before suburbanization had taken hold in the DB Ranch, as well.
This flyover is dedicated to those who remember the view from long ago.
As always, there are a few labels scattered throughout the scenery to assist with locating significant landmarks.
Colorized historic artistic model created through a proprietary AI-generative colorization and photogrammetry process utilizing public domain United States Geological Survey B&W aerial imagery.
