I've got a 1977 Nova Concours for sale with a 383 Stroker. It's got a brand new 670 CFM Holley Carburetor- installed 5 weeks ago, Jegs Competition Traction Bars, new left valve cover, Hooker exhaust manifolds, new spark plugs and wires installed 4 weeks ago, aluminum finned racing trans pan, aluminum American Racing Wheels, full disc brakes with large pads, posi traction, Accel HEI Ignition, full NOS system (I never used it, came with the car) N20 fuel heater, electric fan, Grant steering wheel, 5 point harness, original spare tire and jack. I purchased it 1 year ago from the original owner, was told the engine had less than 1500 miles on it, I've put less than 100 on it myself. Clean title in hand, no lien against the vehicle. I've got lots of photos , various maintenance receipts and videos of the car running, just ask!

Years ago, I saw a yellow twin to this in Hot Rod magazine Beautiful cars 427 SOHC: 2 cams,16 valves, no push rods or lifters Only advantage: higher RPM before valve float I prefer the 426 hemi or the 429 BOSS Why not use the latest mustang BOSS engine: DOHC, 4 cams, 32 valves, all aluminum, 200 + lbs lighter, uses 21st century tech and not 1960’s Personally, I’m an LS fan One cam, 16 valves, dimensionally smaller, less expensive, more plentiful and easier to work on

What a beautiful color paint job on your car but of course the Godzilla of all engines not only is it the most Savage Beast of all but the most beautiful looking engine ever produced in my opinion. Blue Oval blood flows through my veins. If only the soch got the attention that the Hemi did and it. only took over 50 years to realize what a great Design This was. To think Ford Engineers quickly Designed This engine in such a short amount of time and the potential that it has is truly a Wonder. Instantly GM and Chrysler screamed foul and put the kibosh on the engine. Ford motor. Has always had a way of pissing off the other car companies , especially Ferrari. 😂

@MGB18

Both FORD and GM introduced their 427 cubic inch engine in 1963. And no, it isn't a typo. The engine in this Comet Cyclone is definitely a Ford 427 SOHC engine. Also known as The Cammer!

@Dolan Duck: Not to be a "know it all" lol, but the Ford 427 SOHC Hemi engine, is considered an FE engine. The 427 SOHC Hemi basically uses the same block as the 427 wedge head side oiler block. Ford made two 427 FE blocks. The side oiler block and the top oiler block. Ford also made three different designed 427 wedge heads. Low, medium and high rise.

@@donaldshannon3764: Jon's 427 Cammer's are nice builds. It's really sad what the politics of racing (mainly NASCAR and NHRA) did to the 427 Cammer. Due to the cry babies at chrysler, NASCAR never allowed the 427 Cammer to be run on the oval. And in drag racing it only lasted 7 years before being banned also. Ford would have most likely continued making parts, and developing better parts for the 427 Cammer had it not been banned. Not to mention other engine builders and racers at the time that were developing better parts also. Had the 427 Cammer not been banned, it wouldn't cost $40K-$50K to build one today.
