Some of Britain's finest comedy writers get together for a delightfully chaotic, boozy debate about television comedy.
The panel includes Marty Feldman - a writer on Round The Horne, The Frost Report and Marty, Ian La Frenais - who co-authored The Likely Lads with Dick Clement, they went on to write Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads?, Porridge and Going Straight, Johnny Speight - whose writing credits include That Was The Week That Was and Till Death Us Do Part, John Chapman - writer of Hugh and I, Richard Waring - the writer of Marriage Lines and the television adaptations of P.G. Wodehouse's Jeeves and Wooster stories, and finally producer Duncan Wood - whose productions include Hancock's Half Hour and Steptoe and Son.
Very briefly featured (before his unceremonious ejection) is John Antrobus, who wrote for Early to Braden, Sykes and A...,That Was The Week That Was and went on to write countless feature films and plays.
Denis Tuohy has the unenviable job of helming the discussion through a thick blanket of cigarette smoke.
