In Spain this model was known as "el chato" (the flat). But its real fabric code was Land Rover Santana 1300.

Can't believe to see my ex-FC in Moab! Found it in an old garage in Germany, brought it to Austria, sold it to Czechoslovakia,.... and now it is in the USA!! On a place I've been before some years ago with a big RV - impossile to drive real "offroad", since that time I'm dreaming to come back to do some tracks by 4x4! Greetings from AUSTRIA (no kangaroo's!!) -- Michael

I totally understand it. Something similar happend to me. I sold a Series 3 88" locally in Germany, six years later, I found the car via google pictures search in New York City.

Tony, your comments are on the mark. It was out of its league and under-powered, too tall and too heavy. Apart from the limited front departure angle it performed as well as the modern offerings.
