Nice car. I remember as a kid in the early 70's a buddy of my old man had one like this. Black as i recall. When he had a few too many Grain Belts he liked to burn out as he left the driveway. I remember thinking how odd the rubber smoke looked coming from the front/not rear tires. Was a lot as well-must have been quite torquey.

Great mods, and she sounds nice. I'm curious about the gauges and how you made them work.

How long have you had the vehicle and what did you pay for it I love tornados I had an 84 Olds toronado with a 307 no it's not a speed demon like yours but same color and I loved it it was my first car not my first vehicle but my first car my first vehicle was an 85 Dodge ram with a 318 and a two-barrel two-wheel drive

How did you open up the center holes on the wheels?. On a lathe? Die grinder? They are a hub-centered wheel from the factory and I was wondering if it would matter if it was switched to lug-centered What about wheel stud length with the thicker aluminium wheel mount? I bought a Pacifica wheel (5 on 5” x 17”) to test wheel well fitment and used a 3 inch hole saw in a drill to open up the center bore to fit the wheel hub. It went poorly, but did the job as a test wheel. It barely touches the outer lip on the brake drum as you mentioned, while having about 3/4 inch lip clearance in the rear wheel well on my 75 Toro. I am looking for a set of 20 spoke Chrysler Town and Country wheels from 2012 -2015. Looks very classy on this car when I loosely installed a set from my Father’s van I was considering grinding the drum lip rather than the wheel. Any thoughts on that? I appreciate you coming back to add a more in-depth overview to your modifications. Cheers

Hey! I have a 66 myself and saw your video as I was hoping to start my journey in getting it fixed. Would be willing to work on another Toronado?
