This is very similar to the boat my father had in the late 80’s. One difference, his was a single screw. This boat was a real pleasure to operate and preform well even is rough conditions. Some of the best memories I have of my dad involve the time we spent together on this boat.

Hello! I was wondering if you could tell me more about where you purchased this boat. My grandfather had a VERY similar boat, and I am wondering if it may have been his.

Megan Lockwood purchased this Chris Craft beside Messina NY i forget the name of the seller however her husband passed away and. she couldn't take care of it . She was a professor i believe . If this was your Grandfather he would motored the Chris Craft called the Red Witch to Brockville Ontario for summer mooring . Hope this helps .

Did your grandfather live in Michigan? I have a very similar boat but it’s a few feet shorter.

I wish you had shown the cabin better. It looks as if they're are two dinettes. I wanted to appreciate the beauty of these great boats.

Why on earth would anyone buy into a Cavalier - plywood. Really? Really a BAD choice. Sad.

Correct. They were really fast though. Very light weight. Back in the seventies my dad And i test drove a 36 foot cavalier and with two v8's that thing was like PT 109. Then my dad learned about the construction of the haul. But the performance was amazing. This vid is 8 years old. Most likely the last one remaing.
