A Trophy, In my youth had many English motorcycles, one of the best 650 Triumph's was a 69 TR6P the P was for police, they were really only Trophy single carb, the fasted 650 Triumph I had was a 67 Bonneville the best Commando was a 70 red Roadster, not a fast as a Combat but seemed to have more low down grunt..

It's got the wrong brake cover on the left side front wheel. That should be a chromed aluminum trim piece with fake cooling slots the same diameter as the offside cover. It retains the Zener Diode so it'll also have a selenium rectifier under the seat. I bought that exact model brand new and rode it for over twenty years.

There is an important part missing. The brace that connects the two muffler clamps under the rear frame is not installed. It is much more likely that the cylinder head exhaust spigot threads will strip without that bracket. Cheap enough to buy or make one.

1:30 DU 68439 - DU 68346 Which was the beginning serial number in August 9, 1967 Thus the 93rd bike built for the 1968 production year. Incorrect for this 68 are; the rear shocks, left front wheel cover, valve covers, left side cover fastener knob, and Handle bar kill switch. Missing; front fender nylon retainer for brake cable, right UK or left US rear view mirror for brake or clutch lever assembly, and didn't see the left rear fender crankcase vent pipe. All decals, left side cover, left down tube, left top of left tank, and the speedometer reset warning. Oil tank oil level appears present. Those under the seat for the oil tank were not shone. This i know, for i have one which was completely restored back in 2012 -gilpin 10-15-16

Model production quantities are shown on the following link shows TR6R's to be 2673 made. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triumph_TR6_Trophy Cycle magazine February 1968 has it on it's cover and a fair review of performance and cost of $1280 + tax. Classic Triumph Calendar for 2012, has the Trophy Sports on it's cover. Best i can tell the 2017 has it on it's cover as well. Hope this helps both our bikes to gain in desire as a collector. -gilpin 12-14-16

I have had one of these machines since 1985 . But i found the front end a bit shitty so i fitted a later model front end with a disk brake and also increased the fork length by 2 inches . As well as that i fitted a single seat and a back pack rack for carrying goodies . Now i can ride it thru the twisty roads without scraping . .. Some may say its not original . i don't care i want performance and safety. At the mo i am having issues with a sloppy swing arm and sticky steering head bearings . I will upload a vid when i get back the bike back on the road. Cheers.

Way to go, put all your weight on the side stand then start the bike on the side stand. Thats why it needs a piece of wood under it now, it's bent.
