If every medium duty truck had a hood like that, mechanics would be visiting the Chiropractor a lot less often!

Mopar comes from MOtor PARts, that was a cross parts brand name for the thing that fitted between brands, so in short any Chrysler-built vehicle, so Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth, Imperial, DeSoto or Dodge Trucks/Ram. By extension, it is also used for Jeep and AMC vehicles built after Chrysler's 1987 buyout of American Motors Corporation including the short-lived Eagle brand. In some countries they sold trucks branded as Dodge, Dodge Fargo, Desoto by dodge, desoto fargo and/or Fargo dodge.

Know anything about the brakes? We’re having issues even after bleeding trying to get them to work good. I know it’s a long shot and typing isn’t the best for this question but thought I’d ask. I told him we need to shock the air out of the hydro boost. He’s 82 so my personal experience with 1 ton old school Chevy pickups at 32 years old is worthless to him. This thing hasn’t moved in over a year because he gave up when we couldn’t get the brakes bled good enough. Thanks for watching

@@rualmet my brakes are air. Compressor running off engine. If it's a Hydraboost system, may have to rebuild hydraboost. Rockauto offers this. Late 70s Lincoln's use the hydraboost system as well. Could possibly be the same application. I'd research rockauto for pictures.

I have 1972 butterfly hood it has 600 on the hood. I have seen 3 of these in the wild two in Moro ore. one in Hood River. Yours is first I’ve seen that said 500 Fargo.we bought ours mid 90s used it every year to shuttle wheat from the field to the grain bin, also used it to haul to town till we bought a heavy truck. I’m retired now but still use it for some clean up work here on the farm, Culver Ore. Love this old truck. Also my sister in law grew up in Delores and Dove Creek.

My grandpas would love talking with you. I’ve never heard of Culver, Oregon either. Small world. 1500 people is perfect size town, in my opinion. I might have to visit some day

If your actually wondering Mopar, (MOtor-PARts) first began it's association with Dodge in 1937. All the same Dodge is Dodge, Mopar is parts.

I just saw a video of a truck like this from Steve Magnante and he referred to this hood as a "Service Swing" hood. One of my friends had a '51 Dodge "Job Rated pickup with a butterfly hood. It was hinged in the center and opened up on both sides like Mercedes Gull wing doors. Here's the link to that video. It's a larger 800, but it has the same hood. kzitem.info/news/bejne/zaRo3GhsmoKApH4

Its a Dodge truck. Fargo trucks were sold in Canada. Likely someone swapped the lettering on the hood sides. No such thing as a "Dodge Fargo" truck.

the foot switchs are,, the top one dimmer and the back rubber one would be the wind sheild washer, the fargo would indicate a Canadian connection

Was totally dumb. Made a great memory with my grandpa, though. Wish I would have not rushed editing and made videos better. He hated the camera and recording but when he seen himself on the tv he went “sold”. He always telling people to type “Fargo 500 on Google and you’ll see me get that truck home” 😂

Ether is not great for diesel engines, won't hurt a gas engine. Though I buy the ether with upper cylinder lubricant.
