My God this car looks beautiful in white. In 1976 I was 20 years old and bought myself a 1970 Buick Riviera GS, red with black vinyl top pearl white interior buckets, console every option, of course a 455 4-barrel dual exhaust positraction rear end, for a big car this thing would really move, cruising 85 on the highway was effortless. I still think that was the nicest car that I have ever owned even today.

It took Riviera to a new level, combining a bigger more powerful engine and unique and rare styling, only the boatails would have even more unique styling.❤

I had a 1970 buick Riviera in 1885. Was the dark grey metallic, black top, black interior, bucket seats, but had the automatic shift on the column. Ran low 14 seconds in the 1/4 mile. Pretty good for a boat & was a heck of a sleeper. Also would peg the speedo out all day long

The Olds 455 was a different engine than the Buick 455, but they were both powerful.

Just think, when this 1970 was brand new. You could drive it from the showroom to home for $4852.00 And a monthly payment of $131.00, things sure have changed.

455 was under rated by gm for insurance! it was really 430 hp. if you ever drove one you would know it has hp it will fly. i still have my dads car it would cruise at 130 like you were going 70 mph. it was big! but it was very fast. tons of torgue! i still have it 25000 original miles! asking 90.000.00 ohio never driven in the winter and stored in heated garage!
