I vented my tank on my '73 to a II Much Fabrication vent canister that I routed in the trunk and exhausted through the trunk floor. Zero gas smell. None. Great video. Fuel injection here we come!

going through same process was told not to hook vent to filler tube but to use vent sent it gives roll over protection.

Interesting, I guess I hope I never roll over. I guess unless you have an perfect seal on your filler neck, you would still have a Huge issue with a roll over. None of the old style caps compared to new would prevent leakage. But I'm sure you are correct, the vent provided make come with some sort of special valve. Great input! Thanks

Sonny Mendoza , I have no idea. I just ordered the unit that Summit Racing recomend for my tank. Works perfect and as I recall, not to pricey.

Size is exactly the same as stock tank. Filler neck is not included with the Tanks inc tank. Filler tube location is the same as a stock Challenger tank, Sending unit is moved to the top of the tank along side of the new in tank pump.Hope this helps. I just called Summit racing and they set me up with the tank, sending unit and fuel pump.

very cool I just ordered it VIA Summit. Thank You! We are actually using it for our 1962 Chevy C10/20 front is 1/2 ton 78 C10 suspension Rear is Ford 9 inch off A Versailles. It has the 3/4 ton X-Frame OEM Chassis the truck was born with. Got A 2006 Chevy Tahoe Engine/Trans from the Bone Yard... And now the Tank is A MOPAR So its a Franken Schev? Now. Its now a Flat Bed We built ourselves this is the only tank they had At Tanks that would line everything up properly with enough capacity. Tanks listed it at 18 GAL while Summit Listed it at 19 GAL I will be happy to get more than 15 in it the angle of the Filler is spot on I just ordered the Doughnut fuel Neck deal. Thanks for the help It was hard to orient this completely in my mind The Blazer tank was just not equipped with the EFI stuff so we got aftermarket fuel rails off EBAY and the aftermarket EFI Regulator for 75.00 Tanks/Summit We went this way we just dont want any of those Clip Fittings those look scary probably fine but The Old Dog New Tricks thing...SO AN Fittings but NO CLIPS Set us back 517.00 For everything to our door From Sparks NV we should have it tomorrow already to CALI So Very Cool Thanks Again for all the help...jeff

We got it on/in the truck now I just need to route the Neck. I forgot to ask you if you know what Filler Neck tube diameter is correct for this? Outside Diameter is most critical so it dont leak . I think he tried 1 7/8 but I am just not sure I was able turn that tube by hand I thought it was supposed to fit super tight It does slightly pull on the Do-Nut when you take it back out. My uncle of course wants to drag his knuckles over to the welder and put on a 2 1/4 in place of the do-nut I dont think so! Just have to fit the correct size is all. The stocker fill wont work I thought of that too. Thanks for the help I am posting the progress as I go along. We would have spent 1000 Bucks for a custom aluminum tank but with the Frame Boxed in that would have been problematic as the Aluminum are to be mounted between the rails not Via Straps so this is still the best alternative without going the Mickey Mouse Route :) So really Thank You!
