That same engine is even greater bolting twin turbos and intercooler as an option for more power. This engine also great swapping in a 1989 Chevy Caprice and 1985 RWD Chevy Impala. These two RWD large sedans also need a 5 Speed manual transmission and clutch. Finally, swap the 140 km/h max speedometers with a 300 km/h speedometer options.

The 1970 exterior design is undoubtedly the best of the 2nd generation Chevelles. There’s not a bad angle and the SS trim just screams “Muscle Car!”.

Just to clarify I refer to this car as a genuine LS6 meaning the car was born that way. It's verified by an expert and the original build sheet. It did not start life as a malibu 350 and get cloned out to an ls6. Some people don't care either way, to some people it means a lot.

Jay it's a great car and super history,it's lived a life and still here to tell it's story,as a youngster in 80s England my friend had one it looked mint but was a 396 and somehow ended up prior with 454 badges, he used to race it at Santa Pod, I got my only states car a GTO RA4 and that was raced at Santa Pod as tge Widow Maker we timed it's 0-60 4 seconds, I worked at Little Wolf American Auto's in London early 80s and we sold all the aftermarket goodies, saw some great cars and went in some too, then saw some great cars ie Andy Carters Ford Pop with Pontiac engine he went on to be fastest uk racer, even saw a Morris Minor with an Olds engine. Im no expert but loved my time with States cars and really enjoy your channel, big thanks for the uploads, best wishes to yourself, friends, family and fellow viewers.

THIS CAR WITHOUT THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTED LS6 ENGINE IS ONLY WORTH HALF THE PRICE. THIS IS WHAT THE CALL A PUZZLE CAR. THEY ARE ASKING $89,000 GOOD LUCK . AT MOST IT WOULD FETCH $55,000-57,000

I’m not sure you could even do the restoration for that amount. Looks to have been done to a high standard with good parts. $55-k isn’t what it used to be say 20-25 years ago.

Agreed 100% too many things missing to be an original true SS. How can it be an original documented 70 Chevelle SS454 LS6, when there is no SS steering wheel, No SS door panels, no original style SS dual exhaust and doesn't even have the "supposedly" SS original LS6 motor. Don't even have the hood pins and cowl induction flapper door on hood. While it's a nice car, just WAAAAY overpriced for what it ISN'T.

Standard trans should be standard in those 454 chevelle's.
A "Genuine LS6" with the LS6 motor blown up 50 years ago and long gone is not a "Genuine LS6^" and you know it. Sucker born every minute though I guess..... No doubt a nice car, but not even close to how you are representing it. #patrickglennnichols

I think the point is to share the history of the car as well as authenticating that it was born as an LS6 SS, and not a counterfeit or “tribute” car.

He is definitely a salesman - he claims the 1956 Bel Air with a 1000hp is show quality and it is an absolute disgrace underneath, even missing a $50 flexplate cover and he wants $199k. I also cringe when he points out simple things that need to be fixed - JUST FIX them instead of pointing them out. Also don't show the car until it is ready - the 56 had the headliner practically hanging down on his head, they fixed it but don't show it until it is ready.

@@Primus54 So all the factory stuff that would make it RARE is gone, but asking RARE LS6 money for it. THAT is the point. It's a badass Chevelle no doubt. No one with any credibility in the LS6 certification world would certify it at that kind of value though. Don't even think it could be put into the LS6 registry at this point, but I could be wrong on that. If so, it would be with a million asterisks.
