I think a key to a lot of the successful KZitem channels, like NNKH, is that main person is likable. Aside from all the great info and entertainment Chris provides in his videos, he seems like a really good dude and someone you'd want to call a friend. I think that's a huge factor in his success.

Wow ... Bringing back the memories. I had a 1970 Monte Carlo SS Stock 454 Picked it up for $800 back in 1982. It had a wiped cam and spun main bearings, and the little old lady I bought it from had taken an ice scraper to the the ENTIRE car after a freezing rain ice storm ! Rebuilt the engine and a quick paint job ... good as new ! One of many cars I've owned that I wish I had kept.

This was one of my favorite videos that you have done. In 1985, I bought a very clean 1972 monte carlo which has a Big Block 454 427 hp engine, which I have done a lot of work to it, including body work, front end replacement, new brakes. I overhauled the Turbo 400 transmission with Jags HD clutches and discs. I completely disassembled the engine and blue printed it. Had the crank balanced and polished and the block boiled. It has a 427 hp cam and double-pumper Holly carb and a dual plane after market Edlebrook intake. I added 2 1/2 inch Hooker headers and side pipes and balanced quad exhaust that exits in front of the rear tires. I balanced the drive shaft. I replaced the stock distributor and coil with a new style high voltage system. I am in the process of replacing the vinyl top and the glass. It is such a fun car to drive. It is one of my favorite cars.

The Montes frame is 4 inches longer than the Chevelle between the front of the doors and rear of the front wheel openings. Referred to as the A body special or G body. Same for the Grand Prix, this frame extension continued for the Monte and Grand Prix from 73 to 77 colonades. That's why they have the massive fan shrouds.
