The 1970 All Blacks went to South Africa and the expectation was a series win to the All Blacks, they went through the non test matches unbeaten and looking good and entered the test series as favourites. Dannie Craven worked the All Blacks weakness out conned the All Blacks Management team and selected a team of hard tackling back line, and the stupid All Black coach played right into his hands. Result a 3-1 series win to the Springboks, and the start of 1970s decline of the All Blacks

If anybody wants to see better resolution footage of the Joggie Jansen try, watch from around 8:38 in this video: kzitem.info/news/bejne/s6Ce2oKqs4KkgXo (To Rainmanrugby: this is in no way a criticism of you, I totally appreciate that there is nothing that you can do about the quality of the footage. Many thanks for uploading.) For the Boks #10 is Piet Visagie who, along with Jansen and the loose trio of Ellis, Greyling and Bates, and the goalkicking of Ian McCallum, had a profound effect on the sinking of Brian Lochore's 1970 All Blacks. South Africa won 17-6 at Loftus, lost 8-9 at Newlands, won 14-3 at Boet Erasmus and 20-17 at Ellispark. I haven't been able to find better quality uploads of any of the Cape Town test, unfortunately (especially for any NZ supporters) the coverage and camera angles of the Laidlaw and Kirkpatrick tries is poor. I did find some other coverage of the tour as a whole that included a slo-mo of the infamous incident (also in the Cape Town test) where AB #15 McCormick elbowed Syd Nomis in the mouth and knocked out some of his teeth (the referee Dr Wynand Malan happened to be a dentist, and put a couple of them back in for Syd), but it looks like this has video been taken down.
