In my opinion, one of the most beautiful body styles Ford ever produced.

I had the car. Same color. Only I had the 302. What a amazing car. Loaned it to a friend to go visit his dying mother. And he cooked my motor. Man I was pissed. Could've choked him

I always loved the Torino as a kid. Even back then though, something really bugged me about the fact that Ford had a common shape to the tail lights of the Torino, the Pinto, and the Maverick - all were bar-shaped with the upper/outer corner rounded. My Dad was a Ford/Mercury guy and my first 2 cars were Fords.

It's also a cobra grille considering it's like a half cobra it makes sense, Fairlane would have the Fairlane emblem in the middle

Lets hope it stays that way...only for the sake of there being more out there to save or buy in mint condition. And because their demand is so low, they can be found for a very stealing price when you compare to the other icons of the Muscle Car era...unless perhaps its the 70 Torino GT with the Cobra Jet 429.

The base 302 model had the same grille that year as the Cobra, and built at the Lorain, OH plant, same as the Cobra. The '71 Torino 500 and Brougham had split grills with an emblem in-between.
