Rare for this type of bus to have a 4-stroke Diesel engine instead of a 2-stroke Detroit Diesel engine!

This same diesel V6 was used in some Chevrolet Series 50/60 medium-weight trucks.

DC purchased some too just shortly after Metrobus was established in 1973, and were used for light routes, but during the 1980s on out, they were sent elsewhere as the demand for 40 ft versions increased.

There are busses that run on either diesel or electricity.

Gillig and New Flyer make diesel hybrid busses but the diesel engine drives the wheels.
