One of my oldest memories is of my father arriving at home on his new CB500 Four back in 1977. I was 4 years old then and I still can recall the joy on his face and the gorgeous sound of the machine. I became a motorcyclist myself much under the influence of those old and good emotions. Thanks for bringing back the memory of that happy evening when I could, despite being just a toddler, see that my father was as happy as I could be if I had received a new toy. Best regards from Brazil. ✌

I had exact model just before entering college in 1972. Great bike! Went to Colorado and back with a friend who had a Triumph Bonneville. I am 69 now and own a 1996 Honda Magna V4 (with the 4 pipe system of course) that I have had since it was new. Honda makes a great bike.

Vintage bike charm, you can hear each one of the four cylinders just like my 75 and 72 CB750. My 2014 CB1100 sounds just like a car. Each of Their Own😊

Man What a Beautiful Bike. I had the same Bike in Dark Brown. I paid a whopping $1,495 out the door To Cannons Honda in Florence S.C.. I rode the bike for several years and racked up 83,000 miles before selling it to buy my first car. I have always wanted to buy another one. You have got a gem for sure.

Thank you very much. The bike had just over 4 thousand original miles before some valve springs failed from improper storage. It just received a full motor rebuild, new everything, cleaned and more polishing...I'll be uploading an updated overview video in preparation for the sale in the Spring.

Hey love the video! Love your backyard, and of course I love your taste in bikes. The golden and black is stunning. What a find! I have a 1970 GB 750 that I would love to bring back to the same appearance. Thanks for sharing, looks like it came off of the show room floor.

HA! I love these things too. the 500 has a much milder riding experience than the 550 imo...Love both tho.

Bought a green variant of this bike in the early 70's in SoCal. Looked identical except for larger speedo and tach. Several years later it became the prototype of a bolt-on turbocharger kit. The turbo was an itty-bitty "Rayjay" unit and carburetion was a single-barrel Harley carb. We put in heavier valve springs so the bike could rev to 12,000 without any float, but cut eyebrows in the piston tops just in case, and the eyebrows also served to slightly lower the compression ratio. Amazing machine. Full-throttle roll-on was normal until about 6,000, then a giant hand shoved you forward up to about 11,000. Made the engine into a 550 a few years later. Several years later, bike was parked in front of USC. When I came back from classes, nothing but a couple of drops of oil on the pavement. But I have to smile to think of how the thieves must have cursed trying to start it. There was a weird technique that was needed. Oh and the fine-tipped plugs were good for only about 3,000 miles. But what a bike. Had 71,000 miles when stolen.

Thanks for sharing, breaks my heart to hear about it getting stolen. Thats the reason why ill be installing an m unit on my touring 750. I spend a lot of time in the city of Detroit over night, for the past 5 years or so I usually have to wake up around 3-5 am and go make sure my bike is still sitting at the curb side lol.
