Back after 7 months. The Bronco is a very capable rig. Vented the wheels and tires, made a huge difference. It is still basically stock...

Holy cow... You're the same dude from the Amain Hobbies videos aren't you...😁 I've got a Question for you if you don't mind about the 72 Bronco Ascender, And that is what Year was it first Released ? 🤔😕 I'm currently in the middle of doing a Used 72 Bronco Ascender Overview video, And I'd like to know for sure what year it was first released when talking about it on the video.😄 Fyi this vehicle was recently purchased from a online bidding site for $270.00 and it's absolutely mint... Not one scratch on the bottom of the chassis, total shelf queen! Anyways... Thanks for your time, Great job on the unboxing video. Sincerely James.C Owner/Producer of R.C. After Dark 5/4/23

I gonna love this rig more and more...Nice overview buddy. Question, how is the gear ratio for crawling out of the box? Can you drive it really slow?
@BBowenRC

+rolexr Yeah, both the Bronco and Blazer Ascenders come with a 14 tooth pinion gear which is pretty low.

Noob question, hows the shorter wheel base effect crawling? other then maybe better cornering ? Thanks for Vid to man
@BBowenRC
8 жыл бұрын
Hey +Dallas Anderson, good question. The answers can depend a lot on your applications and how the truck is setup, but i'll try to give some general answers. Typically, the long wheelbase climbs better straight up and can hold a sideways angle longer before it tips over because the links are longer and weight isn't shifted so dramatically. The downside is the truck doesn't turn as tight and can get snagged on obstacles easier. A short wheelbase truck will turn tighter and can be a little bit more nimble. But because the links are shorter and the truck is more compact, weight tends to be shifted around more. I tend to prefer whatever wheelbase looks the most proportionate and realistic with the body i'm using :)

+BBowenRC hey man , so I got mine a couple of days ago, and I immediately noticed it tipped easier then my scx , however the turn circle and general trail and crawling capabilities, so much better, think I will lower the body though to try and counter tipping
@BBowenRC

congrats on getting the truck! lowering the body will help out for sure, adding weights on the wheels will also help big time!

Good point. Haven't really thought about it. But I suppose the purpose is to give an idea of the transmitter, being a part of the electronics package of the RTR. I try to go over all the electronics briefly.

I'm new to all this. I've bought this truck and it's ok but because there was a battery choice I went for "bigger is better" and I have 3s LI-Po which is way too long for that tray so it sits on the motor and lifts the weight center. Now I have a question to anyone with more experience then me. Is there a way to make this truck slower? Even in crawl mode the trigger is very sharp. I'm thinking about smaller battery because this one is 11 volts so probably this is the reason, right?

ardvark84 I have this truck and run 2s Lipo it's plenty slow. I wish it was a bit faster maybe I should run a 3s? I also run a regular size battery after learning an easy mod that raises full size batter just above motor. I seen it on youtube.
@ardvark84
7 жыл бұрын
Jeff S If you want speed then 3S should be better. But also there is a "faster" mode if you connect the correct pins together on the board. It doesn't work for me but you can try it.
@jeffs6418

@BBowenRC

+Powerpickle68 Yeah pretty much. But it many ways I think it's a better bang for the buck when comparing RTR's. The Ascender comes with many more premium parts out of the box like the aluminum links and front CVD's; and the battery location is way better. But don't get me wrong, I love my SCX10, and the option parts available for the Ascender don't even come close.
@Powerpickle68

BBowenRC It is a high quality product for sure as well as their other products. The Ascender does cost more per company sites,Axial could install more of their upgrade parts and charge a little more,I think they should because that would be cheaper overall for us consumers. I understand why they lowered the battery position however I don't like it being closer to water.
