Texas Aggie Band halftime drill 50 years ago.
From final block formation the Band performs signature end-of-drill "Block T" with special manuever splitting the inside and outside files in opposing directions. This "Double T" formation was affectionately knicknamed by Aggie Bandsman as the "Texas Tech T"
Members of the Aggie Band held Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corp contracts, as junior and senior cadets. Enrollment in ROTC for Aggie Band underclassmen was mandatory.
Prior to1973, American men were subject to conscription in the Army.
In 1973, U.S. Forces were in action in Southeast Asia.
