Great Series. I was nine years old and watched every game from beginning to end. First WS i was able to do this. Reggie already established his Mr. October credentials. Love seeing the Fall Classic being played in the bright afternoon sunshine. I miss that today. Oh, well.

Seaver punked Yogi into starting him GM6 on short rest... The move was to start George Stone (12-3 regular season) and have Seaver still on short rest for GM7... Plus Matlack, Koosman, Tug & everyone else on the staff...

If Milan didn't make that error in game 1. the Mets would've won that game 1-0 and would've taken the series in five games.

@@jamessollazzo4860 I believe Bert Campaneris was of Cuban ancestry. He finished his career with the New York Yankees in the early 1980's. Was shortstop for Dave Righetti's no hitter against Boston in 1983.

@@jamessollazzo4860 Campy really was a gamer. He was a fanatic about keeping himself in shape and did a good job with the Yankees that year. He was a Julio Franco type of player.
