Had the exact one, same color, everything. Bought it brand new in 1973 while in High School and had it for 5 years. Should not have sold it. Wish I had this one. One thing about this bike not too many know is that the front end was light compared to most bikes at this time. I believe the motor sat back more. In my day I could pop it up on one wheel and control it going only 5 MPH. I could ride on one wheel forever and not go over 5 MPH. My body weight at the time and the brake etc. positioning allowed me to do this. I have driven a lot of bikes back then and this one was my favorite. This bike sounds like a bike should. God I miss it.

I wonder if I have your bike these days - may be interested in selling. Same bike as in video - bought in 1973 in Colorado.

73TX was the first electric-start . Had a slightly longer/bigger tank and more HP up to 74-ish .The 74 and later had stiffer/strengthened frames and longer swing-arms for better stability At some point between 75-77, the later I think, they got better/larger diameter fork/tubes (stiffer) . The early motors had slightly different internals, needle-roller 'little-ends' (gudgeons) and the cam-chain +sprockets ran a different-pitch, can be hard to get . The little-end needle-rollers were prone to rusting and failing if they were parked-up too much, due to condensation forming inside/under piston-crown. Many have the later internals fitted, which go straight-in.. Dave NZ
