I was so much more fun to watch back then and the teams also actually had to work a bit with backing up too , love that, it was great show, and the cars looked soo much better back then, that is all missing today imho

Man....This video took me back in time! I remember most of those cars (especially Jim Bucher's Chevy powered dragster). I'm starting to feel really old! Thanks for sharing.

Wow this brings back so many memories of National Trail Raceway. My dad and I went to the Springnationals many times during the 70s and early 80s. Thanks for the upload!

Wow! You set a "New National Record" with this one Calvin!! 💪 I've seen probably 85-90% of the televised NHRA, IHRA, AHRA major event's, but I never saw this one, until today & what a wonderful treat it is for my old Drag Racing loving eye's!! Thank you!!! 🙏 Watching Snake lose was alway's painful, but when he lost this one to "The Snowman" in the final's, well I can't really whine bout that too much 😉👍

Wow, I didn't know that there is footage from prior to Diamond P syndication starting in 1976 cause I would think only the Winternationals, Summernationals, U.S. Nationals and World Finals were probably the only races on National TV, mainly on Wide World of Sports. Also, I didn't know in the 70s that Al Segrini was living in the greater Washington DC area in Silver Spring, MD
