Great looking bike. You're doing a good job on it. I've got a 76 in the garage that I'm working on.

Did you see my video about the 76 LTD restoration? I've recently done restoration on 2 76 LTDs. It takes a lot of patience.

@@BobKramer51 I'm looking at purchasing a Ltd which appears to have had an extensive restoration but no paperwork to evidence this, so am a little wary. Your thoughts?

I think it has more value if the work is documented. Is the bike currently in running condition. Check the Date Code on the tires, This will give you an idea if the bike is being ridden or it's been sitting a long time. Also, try to judge the character of the seller, can you believe his claims about the work that has been done. Lastly try to assess the value. In pristine condition (Like new) I have heard of people getting as high as 12,500. It would go down from there based on overall condition and amount of work that it still might need. The 76 LTD is the most valuable of the early Wings. If you are looking for a bike to just ride, don't get the LTD. You can get a plain GL1000 in good running order for much less than the LTD.
