I think I'm going to make my Goldwing available to purchase. It's been a fun project and I'm thrilled with the results, but other bikes are calling to me.
Wow, what a beautiful condition it's in. One of the best looking, older Goldwings I've seen. Great job with the upkeep and customizations.

Insanely well kept and maintained. The original Gold Wing - and not one of those ugly, over equipped later models. The yellow color would not be my choice but it’s undeniably very 1975. Would be pure blasphemy to change it😊 Never been riding one myself, but judged from the sound of the motor it seems to be running very, very smoothly...

They were a great looking motorcycle when they first came out and still a great looking motorcycle of today..I had same as this one back in 1978 but mine was the red one . So smooth and so reliable I'm sorry to say but I think they were the best motorcycle ever made all them year's ago and even still hard to beat now . I bought mine with 30 thousand miles on it and when I sold it which was one of my biggest mistake in my life it was going on for 130 thousand miles and still going strong. I had her for 10 years and did around 10 thousand miles a years not a lot miles to what some of you motorcyclists do over in America but it was pretty good for just riding in England.. You've got one gorgeous looking Goldwing there and I hope that you enjoy it for many years..

Looks great my friend. So, that's what those 2 empty instrument sockets were for, head light and tail light. Take the cover off a 78' and there was 2 empty sockets. I used of one of them for a "side stand still down" warning light. Had two 78's, one I rode over 360,000 miles, and the other one over 100,000. Enjoy your bike.

I owned an early Goldwing I was a little disappointed you did not open the glove box (tank) and show that plus lift the seat. As the big fat fuel tank was a dummy tank, the real fuel tank was under the seat. Many people don't know that, a real feat of an engineering masterpiece. This bike was light years ahead of it's time. And the only reason I got rid of this bike was to get a 1969 CBX (6 cylinder, double overhead cam and 4 valves per cylinder) And THAT bike was AWESOME even by today's standards. Smooth as silk, powerful as a Starship, and pure awesome to ride and when you rode it the engine seemed to be 4 foot wide (all engine) In their heyday Honda was the best bike in the world.

Lovely machine. Theres one for sale here in Ireland that i might chase. Ive looked at a few but theyve been turned into cafe racers or modified and made a mess of. Original ones are rare. I dont like the later ones and the pan st 1300 is much nicer than later full fairing goldwings but the engine in 1800 is a peach. Well done. Envious of your weather. It rains here so much

Thats a beauty! I had a '78 one, in blue. Great mile eater. Based in the UK but did lots of rallies including several in Europe. Did a spell as a courier (not an ideal bike for that though), fast ride up from the South coast to London (52 miles) pretty much daily. In and around London and as far out to Heathrow and up to Cambridge, delivering (among other things) American Express Cards (they had a base in Brighton). Great fun trying to squeeze through London traffic! Had to service the bike at weekends though. Only did courier work for a few months. Mine was in very good condition, which I still had in. Yours looks lovely - sounds ace too. Much better with the original pipes, they are not the same with aftermarket ones. These are luxurious civilised bikes and as smooth as silk to ride.

This engine and the gear driven cam V4 are the two greatest engines ever produced for motorcycles. I have mixed feelings about Honda though because they destroyed the VFR later on by removing the gear driven cams and adding VTech. They also committed the vile sin of removing shaft drive and hydraulic clutch from the magna.

Knapp 200 km/ h, aber man sollte diese Maschine besser nicht ( solo) über 160 km/h fahren, weil das Fahrwerk unkalkulierbar war. Diese Maschine kann im Highspeed gefährlich sein.
