I'm not very familiar with these cars but I thought they had an electric fan in front of the radiator, that only comes on when the coolant reaches a certain temp, since the noise here seems to come mostly from that big permanent auxiliary driven fan and it's quite a racket? Later when you drive it, it sounds nice and quiet from inside, so that's a bit curious. Very nice condition and well presented; the leather is in very good condition, since a lot of these have cracked seats. Boot carpet very worn though. The light switch is very worn too, not sure how, rings and long nails? Fair price for such a good low mileage example and if I had a garage and time, and more importantly, of course, the spare money right now I'd be having a serious look. After that one on Harry's Garage they've piqued my interest again, as when I was a kid and they were new. A proper Roller, perhaps the last, not an aggressive German designed juggernaut like now, with the awful headlights.

I am with you on this car to me there are a few questions , very noisy on tick over , a lot of wear in the boot also in the engine compartment and dash . I think someone has done a really good paint job and clean up . Its a very pretty car but one I stay clear of, you would think a car that is a clean as this would have full service history .

It's really nice to see someone young enthuse about these old cars. A good one is joy to drive and own, they are a lovely place to be and make you feel very special. It's obvious that previous owners have spent a lot of money maintaining this car in outstanding condition inside an out. The price seems fair as the mileage can't be proven, but it has all the signs of being genuine, my only reservation is the amount of wear around the ignition which I wouldn't expect to see on such low mileage. Being a very late series 1 car definitely adds to the rarity.

Awful to own & Run. ( After warranty expiration) They sent you bankrupt. Mercedes Benz of the Era we're light years ahead. Even basic Benz were Superior. We used to jokingly call these Crewe abominations " Roley Polies"

Brittish car manufacturing was so financially unviably bad. That Foreign entities bought them out and resuscitated the Brands.

Even today it might still be worth $10,000. But I'm sure you want to retire and need half a mil. I was thinking about it but saw the steering was on the wrong side, so I'll pass. Just put it a museum, if they still take them. blah, blah, blah... It's just a car. They all break down.

That's not a 1977 series 2. Maybe a late 1976 final series 1.

Ticking over rather too fast even from cold start. Suggest carburettors might need bit of a tune / fettle. Nice example though, it’s 46 years old btw

I suspect, the engine sound is not from the RR. The head rests are missing. Lovely car and presentation.

Not all cars had front head restraints. They only became standard when legislation mandated them in the 1980s. Headrests to the front seats were always an option and were rare.

Remember that car tires have an expiration date!!!! The date is on the inside of each tire. MAXIMIUM is 5 years according to Firestone dealer I go to. If over 5 or 6 years obtain new tires.
