Oh, I would totally travel Northern America up and down in that Chinook. That tour guide isn't to bad, either. ;)
My wife & I used to have a '78 Chinook. Not the pop up version, but the same Toyota truck with the 22R engine and a larger fiberglass shell with roof air. We had a lot of good times in it! : )

Seriously Joe? Unless you are afraid your dog is going to eat people why do you have to make him look like hanibal lecter? Can't you take some time to train your best friend. If you were a dog, would you want someone treating you like this???? I'm sure I'm not the only one that is saddened by how you treat your dog. Please do the right thing.

if its canvas its been replaced as it was a plastic material. You commented on being solid, but they rusted like crazy. The frames on these tho were very solid and wasnt prone to the common frame rot found in the pickups....

We had one of these from 1987 to 1992. We got it in Arizona in a trade for a newer Mazda truck. It had about 70,000 miles on it when we got it. We traveled back to Michigan. We drove to Florida several times and back out west once after that. We drove all over eastern Canada in 1988. Then back to Florida. We wound up with about 120,00 miles on it. Loved that little camper. We had to replace the rear end once but that was about the extent of our major costs. Got about 18 miles per gallon on the road. That was great for that little 4 cylinder engine. We really miss it. We changed the oil quite often. Probably 3,000 miles.

***** Most item before the 90's are quality built. Even Toy's. Just like Transformer ( Quality metal, Now cheap plastic ). I blame cheap ass people for this problem. :(

What is the difference between plastic and cheap plastic? Plastic is cheaper than metal. So what? That does not make it a bad material.
@worldhello1234
7 жыл бұрын
Quality is meeting the requirements. Don't let nostalgia fool you. The built quality back then compared to today's standards is flimsy at best. They use less and cheaper ressources today to produce a superior product. Your bitching about cheap shit makes no sense, cars become increasingly more expensive and complex.

I saw a 1977 Toyota Dolphin on an online marketplace and I haven't stopped thinking about it...I wasn't planning on an RV but I'm just thinking of all the adventures I could have in it! Idk what I should do so I'm looking at videos and it seems like a really cozy RV, I love older vehicles, so simple and good looking, just worried about maintenance because I don't know much about under the hood.
