A few of these toys were sold In the USA as well, Growing up in that era, I remember having a TCR slot car set at home; Being able to change lanes was a very unique feature at the time. I recall my brother traded it for some other slot car components. We were very much into slot car racing in our youth. I saw a very nice slot car set at the store today and was very tempted to purchase one. It's almost as if this video was trying to tempt me further.
A great toy commercial like this I was impressed with how well it was edited. In fact, it became the reason to purchase many game watches, and it led to enjoying toys through my friends. I think that many of the Japanese toys of the time were the culmination of originality and ingenuity. Her fashionable doll "Pink Lady" is I have a good impression of how popular and how her was able to shoot the commercial despite her busy schedule at the time.

Nunca tuve TENTE , Siempre soñe poder jugarlos se los pedi muchas veces a los reyes magos y nada, ya creci y ahorita que mire el titulo TENTE Me rebotaron mis ancias de tenerlos....SNIFFF!!
Seems like the Japanese were always ahead of the curve when it came to innovative children's toys. Heck, they were into transformable robots long before the whole Transformers craze took hold in the US in the mid 1980's.

waaaaaw i wish i was born in japan... i love your ads
All those electronic games made by Epoch, only to be cast aside thanks to Nintendo & Sega years later. Also, those dolls of the popular Japanese pop stars, Pink Lady are quite cute.

Epoch did manage to get Sylvanian Families toys sold in the USA through Coleco, though.

I heard about these figures call Mexican family. There were 50 different figures but you only had to buy one trailer for them to live in.
