Hi love watching your videos I’m also going through a restoration.I would like to know if you can measure the height of Vick’s lowering springs right out of the box .Would like to compare them to a set I got a few years back that I don’t remember where they were purchased from .

Will do, I also will compare then to the stock springs when I take them out. Busy working on the front seats right now.

This is a great idea. How's the hood clearance now?

No problem on hood clearance, basically takes the carb back to stock height.

Are you getting rid of the old carb? Is it for sale? I’m running a adf and slowly eliminating the smog crap. What carb are you running now? Your engine sounds great!!!

The old card was the original Weber 28/32ADHA, pollution controlled crap. It is a boat anchor now. 20 year old fuel had harden inside the passages. I very crudely dismantled it for parts. I purchased the replacement Weber 32/36 DFEV Carburetor from Vick Auto along with the single plane manifold. I used the block from the old carb as the riser, rendering it even more useless. The car is now smog free. I recommend the carb/intake conversion paired with the header style exhaust. Spend then extra money to buy the Weber. You could probably find a good used DFEV on the forums or Facebook when somebody upgrades to the dual carb setup.

@@ELDESTBuilds is the intake manifold a smog delete from vicks auto? it has less holes than mine and id assume its to the smog on the stock carb?

Smog delete manifold, all the extra ports are blocked except for the brake booster vacuum. It also removes the water port for the stock carb, heater hose to the choke

@@ELDESTBuilds will the stock carb work ? or should i not waste my time putting it back on and grab a new one?

Stock carb will work, just have to plug all the vacuum ports. Honestly, a new Weber without all the smog junk will run better.
