Absolutely love all of your Rickenbacker videos. You have inspired me to pick up not just one but now two 4001s within a few weeks 😂A 1974 and a now 1979 on deck. Some of the best basses I've ever played 🙌

Chris Squire the pinnacle of Rickenbacker tone for most played a horseshoe pickup (a guitar pickup from the 1930s) through a marshall guitar head and people go absolutely crazy chasing that tone. People forget they play bass guitar and not the double bass. There is nonsense bias against using guitar pickups/amps on bass when rock bass players have been using guitar amps to achieve some of the best tones forever and for good reason. That bass sounded killer as is ... There's a million stock rick 4001s out there ... Only one of those Ricks around. That bass is Lemmy Kilmeister heaven... R.I.P I would love to hear a old skool p90 in the bridge of a Rickenbacker. Bet it would sound insane. I've seen guys put a p90 in a bass.

I've got EMG's in my Cort Bass and they don't even sound half as good in tone as the ones that were in this Rick, tat's the perfect sound, but there has to be pickups of giving that high growl

Why did you leave that "crazy bridge" on? IMO it looks ugly, aside from being extremely un-original.

It may look ugly but I left it on there because it is SUPER easy to intonate....function over form in this case....Thanks for watching!
