@@jasonmurdoch9936 Say what? It's a 4-speed so that means Pontiac 400.

Nice looking/sounding car but I noticed it looks like you have several keys on the keyring. This is a big warning to anyone driving or who owns a TA, it is ill advised to have numerous keys on your keyring or anything else heavy because it will bounce around and scrape the paint off of the steering column. I learned the hard way. :(

1979 TA came with the Pontiac 400 ci or Olds 403 ci engine.

And also the Pontiac 301. But with the 4-speed transmission you got the either the 301 or the 400 Pontiac and that's it. This car has the 4-speed so cannot be the Oldsmobile 403.

You could also tell by they decal on the shaker, "T/A 6.6" was for the Pontiac 400 and "6.6 Liter" was for the 403 Olds.

@@scott692 True only for 1979, and be careful with that. A lot of people bought a replacement kit when they repainted them which automatically included the "T/A 6.6" decal instead of the required "6.6 LITRE" for the 403 equipped cars. The 6.6. LITRE decal was extra and many didn't bother getting the right decal. Also, in 1977-1978, the base Pontiac 400 V8 (180 HP version, non W72) would also have stated "6.6 LITRE" on the scoop.
