What is the small black piece inside the Stator body called? I can't get the screws to come out.

Joy Welch not sure what it is called, but try giving them some penetrating fluid like WD40 see if that can loosen them up.

Likely you have already found out that the screws you had to remove are JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard). I am replacing rotor, stator, rectifier and starter solenoid as well as the petcock. I hope to get it running soon! Hope you are having a good time

Does it matter the order for the stator terminal connection?

Hey bud. I'm literally going thru this right now with my 79 CB750K. Waiting for the flywheel removing tool to be delivered. Did it work?

I think so. I have yet to try riding it to work to see if I make it or not, but it IS generating power when I rev it. My rotor was toast and I guess that is pretty common on these old (awesome) bikes. Let me know how yours turns out and good luck!

2 days and about 50miles and seems to be running great! Had it up over 70mph today and running great!

+Epic Trekker yes! Makes me happy to hear. Stupid company I ordered the flywheel tool took a week to send it! So frustrating...but it gave me time to change the oil and air filter. I'll let you know! Congrats!

Help, the screws are seased on my stator and there is no way opening it, what should I do?

you can try soaking them in some anti-seize fluid (I use WD40, but there are lots of options) and try and impact driver, if that doesn't work you may have to drill them out (no fun). good luck!!!
