Everyone remembers The Catch. Some more might remember Eric Wright’s horsecollar tackle on Drew Pearson afterwards. What many seem to forget is that none of that would have been necessary if the 49ers didn’t commit SIX turnovers in the whole game.

Finally, after so many years of near misses, lost playoff games, the first in 1957 against the Lions for the tie breaker, 1970,71 and 72, and the bad seasons off and on through the years, the 49ers finally won the two games that made them NFL Champs/Super Bowl Champs!

Montana movement in and around the pocket was amazing in this game. I also liked how he kept throwing Everson Walls way. He was not scared. He won some and lost some lol. Walls was a great CB. I can't believe he is not in the hall of fame. He hasn't got the credit he deserved. I know he got burned a lot throughout his career but he also made a whole lot of plays. One of the best CBs to ever play in my opinion.
