@whatmarc from 2 years ago - the Honda Vigor was just a more upscale version of the Accord (like a Chevrolet Caprice/Impala relationship) at this point, and it was only sold in Japan. The most powerful engine (1800cc) was standard as were power windows, locks, better stereo, alloy wheels, etc. You could also get a very primitive version of a navigation system on the Vigor; an overly complicated electromechanical device that didn't use GPS. Pretty cool, though - it was the first one ever! The only noticeable difference visually was that the Vigor had the sealed-beam headlamps from the US-model Accord. Kinda weird, because the composite lamps on the lower-priced JDM Accord were definitely seen as more modern and stylish at the time. I like both versions, personally, and I wish we got these here in the USA.

What was the difference between Vigors and Accords in these early years? I know later on the Vigor became a separate model that was higher line, but what about the early models?
