I was born in 1993 so I grew up just hearing these stories! Jimmy V was an inspiration to many and the 1983 team was part of that inspiration.

the ESPN 30 for 30 "Survive and Advance" is worth the Three Bucks. i watch it every year during March Madness and it takes me back to '83 and my college days.

I just happened to stumble on this the night of the Mens NC Title game. UConn/Purdue. I was only less then a year old when it happened, but the 30 for 30 of the NC State run remains 1 of my favorites from the series. This earlier version, looks to be around 2006-7 i actually enjoyed more. This has a more local Carolina feel to it. Making it a bit more authentic and it coming from a place of folks who enjoyed that run. From the Producers, Caneramen, News Station folks etc. that are employed by Carolina locals who are likely Wolfpack fans and Alumni who cerishes that year and holds it near and dear to their hearts. And a miracle run that to this day is the most cherished run in the history of the tournament. Nice that i could kill a few minutes watching this gem on KZitem before the title game start (Think UConn wins easily tonight. But hoping for a great game) Then later on here, I see a UNC Basketball game. And as a FSU fan, They likely beat my Noles that night. So ill spare myself watching that

This has to be from Tuesday, March 4, 2008…Makes sense because that was the 25th Anniversary of NCSU’s 1983 title run and UNC played Florida State that night

It was a mandatory family night at my parents house! My brother and I were playing elementary school basketball together and my dad was our coach! We watched in amazement at how the miracle unfolded and State pulled out an unbelievable win!!! I’m never going to forget that game or the moment!!
