Such memories...I remember when my dad brought one home in 1985 and feeling so excited. It was white with the same blue interior.

Nice! I wish they still made these things. Among the finest engineered cars ever. With decent maintenance, could go a quarter million plus.

I'm still upset my '84 LE had to be sent out to pasture at almost 700k in '19. TC went out, and I couldn't find a replacement.

And now the 2019 Camry looks like a race car. I prefer this modest, honest look to the old Camry’s. You’ve got a piece of automotive history right here, protect it.

She is a true beauty! I own a 1984 Carina II 1.6GL. Model resembles this bigger Camry. A wonderful car, and only a true connaisseur will envy you. These cars are very rare, veru well built and, in Europe that is, all ended up in Africa or scrapyard because of rust issues.

In 2006, I received a 1984 Camry LE in what can best be described as UPS brown. At the time, it only had 80k miles and because it came from my great grandparents, it was in showroom condition. I loved that car, it was my first car in my name! I gave it to charity one day and I wish I knew where it went.

I think that this would have been the perfect idea for the 1984 Chevy Malibu which would be a rebadged version of the Toyota Camry, but with the same steering wheel and radio used on the mid 80s Chevy Celebrity, but with the Toyota beeping chime for the seatbelt reminder.

Better than the accord, Toyota will be trouble free and last longer. The honda will have vacuum line issues then electrical issues finally all the mechanicals will fail worst of all is the timing belt breaking ,The honda is an interference motor the valves will bend and honda is famous for the" death rattle" not toyota the valves do not collide with the pistons!

This '84 Camry looks as if it's been protected all its life! You see hardly any early Camrys anymore; the good portion of them have rusted away and wound up in junkyards. And it looks primitive on the inside, compared to a 2019 Camry!
