Fun Fact: When Tom Walkinshaw was speed trapped at 290 km/h (180 mph) in John Goss's Aussie Group C Jaguar on Conrod Straight during practice for the 1984 Bathurst 1000 ... the car was actually fitted with one of TWR's Group A engines. It was the fastest speed ever attained by a touring car on the old 2km long straight before Caltex Chase was built in 1987. Without the home built Aussie Group C aero aids (large, almost sports sedan-like front and rear spoilers) holding the car to the road over Conrod's infamous humps where faster cars would get airborne, the Jaguars in 1985 were only topping out at around 274 km/h (170 mph), mostly in an effort to avoid overrevving the V12 engines and putting more strain than needed on the drivetrains.

Always a historic car. Some footage shows a damaged rear tail light and later it looks repaired so was this two different races?

Same meeting but got damaged in the last race. Races will be uploaded after a couple more Group A videos
