I rode Caltrain from San Bruno down the peninsula everyday for 5 years. The cars reguardless of age were actaully fairly well kept, other then the bathrooms...but It would have been nice to see a High Hood diesel run a train or two. Still love the F40PHs though!

Fun fact: CalTrain used K5LA horns before the Nathan P2 horns came around

Is K5LA the original on F40PH? UP's freight train horns are louder than Caltrain's.

I must say I prefer the K5LA’s, however I can understand how some might feel the P2’s “carry on” the sounds of the SP, seeing how similar they sound.

It is a shame that we lost Huff, but WPRM did everything thing they could to give it a good life for preservation, no one stepped up.
