Lovely big Luxo Barge with V6 goodness and velour. Love the American style door pulls. So much cooler than a BMW and all the extras come standard.

Very much rarer than the contemporary BMWs, and I was very privileged to have had the chance to film it. Thank you again for filming, sir!

I have driven one of these and it was a very good experience, when you are behind the wheel of one of these you feel like you have no hurry anywhere and its suprisingly quiet inside.

It was unfortunate that I wasn't able to have a go on this occasion, as it would have been rather agreeable, I am sure! Thank you ever so much indeed for watching and commenting.

A handsome car, and that interior looks very sumptuous! I do hope you get the opportunity to drive this one day 😊

Used to get ferried to and from Taipei airport in the Taiwanese built version of these - the Yeu Loong 806 (based on the 430C model) - a lovely chintzy motor - very smooth ride and engine. I remember the company chauffeur car had lace doilies on the seat backs!

Ah yes, the Taiwanese versions of the Nissans in the 1980s and 1990s. A very strange affair indeed from what I understand!

Absolutely love these old Datsuns. The shape of this was along the same lines as the 280C, 180B and 160J. Hopefully you will get it back on the channel soon for a drive...

Yes, it would have been quite a traditional shape even in 1986. Hopefully, we will see this car on the channel again...

Great video! I’m lucky enough to now own one of the rare surviving estate versions! Shame they didn’t make them quite as luxurious as the saloon lol

A excellent little walkround, what a well kept car and a very comfy interior especially the door cards.

It's in exceptional condition for something from 1986, isn't it?

I remember my father having a Laurel 2.4 Straight 6. White with a cream corduroy interior. Amazing refinment. Bulletproof reliability. Class car.

Ideal for those who thought the Laurel to be a bit on the small side. Love that velour interior.

Thank you for this video! Another interesting old Japanese car! I'm not sure if they had these in New Zealand - if they did they would have come as used Japanese imports! As mentioned before we did get lots of Laurels though.

The Laurels seemed to be more common, and weren't much smaller than these. Most of them in this country ended up on the banger track...

I once had a Laurel and later a QX but never a 300c ,in fact, I don't think I've ever seen one

Never seen these before. Looks similar to the fairly new Bluebird 2.0 GSX which I owned for a short time but I did not keep it. It was a bit of a tank, very chunky looking and simply did not suit me.

They weren't exactly common back in the day, they are very rare now! I have a review of a Bluebird from that era on Sensible Secondhand Classics, by the way.
