Thanks for the upload! So many things to love here! Magic & Kareem, X-Man & Dale Ellis. The halftime show with Muggsy's first NBA game and the iconic G-Shock hockey ad. The 80's are unbeaten!

Full games now, this is nice. If you could upload older games of teams and matchups that aren't often seen-- like a Rockets and Nets game, or Jazz and Pacers, it'd be much appreciated

That was the year the Lakers moved the primary TV camera farther up and away from the floor. I always liked the old position when it was down lower. It just seemed to connect the viewer with the action a bit more.

Plus you had those drums with the distinct "dun dun, da da da dun" when the visitor had the ball. Was that the USC band? Always loved that.

@@manuginobilisbaldspot2 Yeah, the camera angle switch applied to TBS/TNT broadcasts as well as all local TV broadcasts while CBS and later NBC kept to the old spot for several more years, at least through the '91 Finals. But prior to '88, all broadcasts were shown from the lower vantage point.

Good footage. Don’t think I saw this one live. Must have been frustrating for the Sonics to sit through the ring ceremony after being swept by the same Laker squad just months earlier in the 87 WCF. Then to lose down the stretch here. Always liked Ellis and Xavier. Chambers could also score.

Seattle had an amazing team. Perhaps the coach has not the same level. But the Lakers were a machine. What an starting match of,the season.

Supersonics had a great game plan in defending Worthy. They would've easily won this game if not for Mychael Thompson and AC Green who stepped up big time. Good stuff.

I assume the Sonics covered the spread when they lost by only 4 points. The Lakers, overvalued as usual.
