Rich, I just saw this posting. Man I miss my buddy Doug. What a great story which I never knew. Doug and I were in the band Potato Salad together and our album with David Garfield. Doug absolutely killed it. I remember the guitar prominently used. Gone too young with lots of music and life unfinished. Thanks so much for sharing. Dave “Beaker” McNichols.

What an awesome story. That was around the same time I got my Jim Burst, I am in awe of how pristine it is. Family is right, Rich! ♥

Such a beautifuk story. I am not to familiar with James Tyler guitars, but have been following the Facebook page and am very impressed. Very nice guitars. Congrats to those who have had the chance to play / own these.

Miss Doug….great dude. My first tyler (which I still have and play) #362 seafoam green; made it my first tattoo, as well. Hi Rich!

Back in late 90's, my buddy and I used to trade cassette with Doug to geek out about tone. I still have some of the cassette with me today. (Cassette = a little thingy that have recorded material you can play in a Tape Recorder for all of you millennial..) RIP Doug

I’m a nobody. I don’t make a lot of money. Roughly $300 a week. I play on 1998 Squier Strat which it has been modified. It’s good but James Tyler guitar would be so great. No way I can afford one. Anything y’all can do for me?
