I have a 91 LSC. Same color Bought it in 94. I still have the car. Take it to local car shows. It’s the only one there. Gets a lot of looks. I still have the air suspension. Never had any issues.

Stunning car! Ford, typically is ahead of the game but they really wenta balls out on this one. Air suspension, auto dimming lights, powerful engine and this in the the late 80's/early 90's! Sick ride man

Congratulations on your accomplishments and the purchase of this mint Mark VII LSC. Appreciate Ford's attention to model year improvements. It was remarkable that Lincoln added a more powerful engine to the Mark VII and added as you described, turbine wheels.Given how well these cars withstand aging on the outside, frequently the same canoot be said for interirors. When you enter the interior, it becomes more apparent how little use its received upon seeing how its beautifully maintained .

I always wanted an LSC and just recently, week ago, was fortunate enough to purchase a pristine 1991 LSC with 25,400 miles. I too was fortunate to receive the complementary key fob and original dual set of keys, including the duplicate tags. I’m still pinching myself to see if I’m not dreaming, these Lincoln’s are soooooooo COOL! You have a NICE LSC, hang onto it!

I bought a 14k mile 1985 LSC in 1986. White with tan interior. They all had digital speedometer and fuel gauges that year. Loved the car and enjoyed it for 6 years. The 4 wheel air suspension also kept the car level front to back and side to side.

Same fog lamps as were on my 85 Turbo Coupe and as I believe it was the first car I had with anti lock brakes, I bet they were on the same years Lincoln's too.

Great trip down memory lane for me. I had an '88 LSC in high school (2003-2004). It came with its share of problems but I still enjoyed the car. I had to convert the air ride to conventional suspension, had overheating issues, I don't remember exactly what they were though, bad window motors and the AC compressor went out right after it was converted to R134a. I ignored the minor issues and put Flowmaster exhaust on it with an offroad H pipe. People thought a Mustang was coming.

Awesome car! When these came out in 1983 for 1984 along with its cousin cars the Thunderbird and Cougar these cars were ahead of the times! Looked more like a car from the 90s instead of early/mid 80s. Most cars were boxy crappy, carbureted designed these had no hard edges with modern styling and fuel injected engines

Actually Ford was able to make the claim that their request for composite headlights was tied to meeting the government's fuel economy goals as well as a safety. Pretty clever angle to make their case from.

@@LarsensGarage There is a book by Eric Taub available on Amazon called Taurus: The Making of the Car that details Ford. The push for composite headlamps was part of Ford's' aero design philosophy in which Ford, in financial straits at the time, was hemorrhaging millions of dollars due to years of prior mismanagement and desperately needed a hit product to save the company. This wholesale change in the company's vehicle design philosophy was needed for the company's Taurus program, then still in development. It's a great book about a key moment in Ford's history that changed how cars were designed and manufactured in America.

'Larsen' ..?, shouldn't surprise me if you have a Norwegian background .. But congrats on that car - the modern version of it specifically, the Lincoln Continental is very successful in that form. When, after all, having to leave the earlier, dignified and stylish sixties/seventies cult of am. car - is the 89 model perfect ..!

Somebody needs to drill a hole in the fiberglass header and install it stand up hood ornament that it's missing, it would certainly look a lot better, a lot less like a base model. LTD back in the day that were purchased by the city the city Vehicles you always knew it was one of theirs cuz it didn't have a stand up hood ornament.
