no I wouldn't but I grew up in South London and am these lads age. No one had a phone in 89 without a suit apart from people up to no good. There's a chance they were running parties maybe.

I had one, was self employed courier van driver.It was only the self employed ,yuppies and crims who had them.The costs were horrendous, probably the equivalent of £1.50 to £2 in today`s money per minute to phone anyone.The monthly charges (before you made calls) were about 30 quid which is about 100 to 150 adjusted for inflation.
