Eric Davis was the most talented Reds player I’ve seen growing up in Cincinnati just a guy who made baseball look so easy.

Hearing Skip makes you feel like a kid that should be watching this after swimming at the pool all afternoon. Good memories.

Very good game. Brings back good memories of the Reds and watching Braves games on TBS. I really liked Skip,Pete and Ernie, Sr. Just a good calm announcing team that was relaxing to watch. We really need this in times like now. Thank you for posting this game.

Some people might look at this game and think its two below .500 teams playing out the string; that might have been true in 1989, but what is interesting is that these two teams would play in the next three World Series', (1990-Cincinnati 4-0 over Oakland) and the Braves in 1991(epic), and 1992, losing to Minnesota 4-3, and Toronto 4-2. BTW, not a fan of either team just found it interesting.

I never understood why the Braves were in the N.L West. It must of been shitty to fly to California multiple times a year.

Rose was still manager at this time. He would be banned about two weeks later. Thanks for posting these older Reds games!

Love the 1989 MLB season. In fact I love it so much I'm having my 1989 Braves playing some winter ball with my APBA Baseball set. Great way to cure the winter blues & it'll make spring get here a hell of a lot faster too. Hell for that matter, I'm also playing my 1953, 1977, & EVEN MY 1999 Braves this winter as well. Baseball is KING in my house!!! lol

Unless Marty Clary wanted out of the game, don't know why the Braves made a pitching change for. Clary had a shutout going for Christ sake.
