I followed him round on the Saturday, was so good to be so close to the maestro when he was absolutely at the top of his game. Thanks for posting

Fantastic vid, thanks for posting!! Seve was the best, end of story. Dennis durnian is originally from chorley, lancashire and has recently moved back. He used to practice at my golf club when he was on tour (Duxbury park golf club, and way way before my time lol) the older guys at my club tell me he was a great ball striker and a great guy. Still holds the record for the best 9 holes in the open if I'm not mistaken, 28.... Very impressive! Thanks again!

I remember this match. Seve won the first four holes, and no way could Dennis Durnian catch him after that.

Seve's swing is so good there in 89. I never fully understood why he was a poor driver of the golf ball. My theory is it had to do with his tempo which sometimes got too fast. Also he did not keep his head steady throughout the whole swing. Although i have played golf near scratch for a long time i am not a teaching pro who can diagnose swing faults :)

I am a teaching pro and it's a bit of a mystery to me too but I will say this; I can't think of anyone who would've benefited more from modern equipment than Seve. Specifically the larger clubface on modern drivers and the solid core ball that doesn't curve anything like the old balata balls did. Seve would be the poster boy for the bomb and gouge game of today's top players.
