if you hot slop and don't wanna take all apart . get new bolt and washer set at 11oclock of transmission cover and tighten as tight as can and pray for the best .....worked for me tight as it ever has been weeeeer goid luck.

Primary chain looks tight. The seal on the shaft is bad that's why you have all the oil around .

What was your problem ? was it hard to shift ? i have a 91 flhs i m havin shifting problems, hard to shift , i have a good bit of slack in the shiftin linkage the lever on the tranny is tight ; im havin hell !! any advice is appreciated

The aluminum shifter rod strips out on the steel transmission shaft. The new steel ones don't strip out. Hard shifting is usually do to the clutch adjustment. I would start there at the clutch push rod adjustment.

Two things, my new front brake hose to adapt it to the new Master cylinder was shipped to my USA address which I can't get because of COVID. And secondly I believe the crank is bent. When I reassembled and cleaned up the top end and found a bunch of things put together wrong, I hesitated about pulling the whole engine out and checking the bottom end. I could see that someone had used orange ATV gasket sealer on the cases, which is a no no. The bike has way too much vibration even with the new engine mount.

Motor Oil & Beer. Thats a shame, I remember you taking the push rods out and finding them the wrong way round and you were thinking about doing a full strip down! Looking forward to seeing how it turns out when you get the time. Keep up the good work.
