crazy impressive though definitely not surprising! my home had a B&O TV and that thing ran for 25 years, daily operation too! my grandparents bought it for my mum as a wedding gift, so it was literally in my family before i was born and then it saw me all the way past college graduation (and then some)! what a beautiful system you got indeed

Crazy! TV's aren't built to last today!! I think these earlier designs were just timeless and love the glass doors! Very best wishes! Anthony :-)

No way!? That’s crazy! I went to a party years ago with my favourite boombox and while I was upstairs someone walked out with it! Very naughty! Best wishes Ant :-)

Mine still sounds great and it all works perfectly and I use it everyday. I can't believe it is so old. I did the same thing but hooked it up to an old Apple Airport Express so Airplay works.

That’s a great idea! I stream Spotify via Bluetooth and it sounds great! Sadly CD and Cassette not happy with me so I’ll have it serviced! Crazy to think it’s over 30 years old, seems crazy! Best wishes:-)

Knew I had to own one when I first saw it. Cool factor was simply off the charts. Most units in existence today have issues with the door (mine opens well but closes halfway). Need to open it up and try and fix it (some day). Belts for the cassette are shot too. If you pay someone to look at it, it won't be cheap as they are notoriously difficult to work with (very little space inside so it's labor intensive - many B&O products are). I use the CD player and Aux on mine. Still a cool piece of equipment even today.

Very true! I did remove the back and thought maybe not! Actually I blew dust out with a compressed can of air and kept opening and closing doors (mine went 1/2 way also) and now they work perfect but CD player has a mind of it's own! Sounds great in AUX with bluetooth! Still looks great that's the main draw! Very best wishes Anthony :-)

@@anthonytubeCD could have a bad laser (I saw quite a number of 2500s or variant (3000, 6000 with the opening doors) having bad laser. I had a Beosound 1 that had a bad laser as well. Whilst repairs are expensive, I'd just use my 2500 for aux, CD and radio. The cassette deck is shot (probably needs new belts), but complexity and cost are prohibitive (sadly). Happy listening!
