I ran mine behind the heatshield on the firewall, that way the cable is protected from all the heat from the turbo/downpipe and I havent had any problems with it melting... Its also a good idea to heat wrap your downpipe to keep most of the heat retained in the exhaust so it keeps engine bay temps down. If you havent done so already.

I love these engines. I have one out of a Celica GT4 that I'm planning to build and then swap it into a 2003 Toyota Matrix. AWD and probably close to 800hp from a turbo setup I'm designing.

@krzfly yea thats about what im guessing. the gen 3 ecus start to richen out at about 300whp i get into like 9afr at about 6k rpm... i have to use a mix of e85 with 91 to lean it out alttle. when i install my honda ecu im going to run straight e85.. hoping for around 500whp with this turbo. i love 5sgte's they have so much bottom and top end! if i ever get my hands on a celica gt4 definitely going to build another 5sgte

Haha in person it actually sounds alittle like a supra, it has a much deeper tone when under boost but for some reason my phone cant capture that sound... but yea i love the way this engine sounds, very unique.. has a deep tone in the lower rpms. Then when the boost builds up its screams!

Alright thanks man. I was wondering, could you tell me how you ran your wires for your wideband? Im at the part of the install where I am running the cables for the sensor itself to the engine bay. I want to run it so I dont have any melting issues and I need a little help and an idea of where/how to run the cables. Thanks.

Hey dude sick car. If I was ever to do a motor build for my Mr2 it would be the 5SGTE. Just a question about your AEM Wideband, did you have to extend any wires for the sensor harness?

Nope everything was long enough to reach from the pillar pod to the back. I believe the wideband sensor harness is like 10ft

Pistons and rods (forged) Arp headstuds, MLS headgasket, ACL bearings, fidanza flywheel, stage 3 clutch.. um total about $2300... not including labor considering I did all the work myself.

3rd gen 3sgte head.... if you want reliable power go with a complete 3sgte.... or a built 5sgte.. the stock 5sfe isnt going to last very long with boost

Hey @Alake2244, quick question. I have a deuce also, 92 ttop turbo, pretty much stock, just a half-built head, berk downpipe, k.o. exhaust, & some ebay SMIC, I think godspeed?. I ran a ct20b @ 18psi making roughly 250whp (maybe more, never got the car dynoed). my block cracked after 2 years of spirited daily driving lol & im thinking about doing the 5sgte build. how much did you pay overall for parts & labor you think? currently trying to source myself a 98+ 5s block
