It's fun to watch these episodes of Driver's Seat! Ever notice Ted was always interrupting Tony?

I think Ted tested Tony's patience sometimes. Ted didn't lack assertiveness in expressing his POV. lol

The Fox was also designed to use the type 4 air-cooled engine.

Is it me, or did Driver's Seat have a serious import bias? The Ford Escort was redesigned for 1991, and was competitive with most of these cars. And certainly outsold most of them. The Dodge Shadow/Plymouth Sundance still competed well on price and value. They seemed to test more low volume imports than mainstream domestic cars.

The show was based in Vancouver, not Toronto/Southern Ontario. May have played a role.

The Escort and Mazda protege were seriously overlooked cars.

The excel has throttle body injection. It didn't have a carb in this generation. Odd error on their part. Also had a 4 speed automatic which was unusual for the time. Anyway, wow, never realized how they both just relentlessly interrupt eachother. Hahahaha.
