Beautiful! I recently bought a '92 mint Standard in the same honeyburst. There is something magical about this era Les Paul guitars. They have a nice heft to them, great build quality and so resonant. I'm looking at a '91 right now in Cherry Sunburst. Don't tell my wife.....

Thank you. I love the look of all the bursts, but the tone on my black ‘91 Standard just has a special something.

I have a 92 Standard Ebony, it’s had a neck repair. I’ll never let it go….It has so much Mojo…

Very nice! I did pass this one on to a proud new owner, but my keeper is an ebony ‘91 Standard with a broken neck that I repaired. It was owned by Tom Holkenborg (Junkie XL). I came across it on Reverb when he was selling a bunch of his gear. At a broken neck price, it was a sweet deal.

I have a 92 Standard , neck repaired and supposedly owned by Slash ,but no verification of this but if you were to play it you might actually believe it .

Sweet! The story is all that matters. I’m sure there’s documentation somewhere if it was celebrity owned. I have a ‘91 that was owned by Tom Holkenborg aka “Junkie XL.” I had a signed certificate of authenticity from his Reverb shop, but UPS lost it during the shipping damage inspection. All I have is the receipt and a photo of the certificate now. Oh, and a broken neck repair thanks to UPS.

Hi, love the gratuitous video! What’s the song called roughly 25 minutes in?

Thank you. I don't remember the song. I used music from the free KZitem creator music that you can add to videos.

My best description is it feels pretty similar to my 2006 American Fender Strat neck, but with the shorter 24 3/4" scale.

So if your still interested, i bought one this week. 90s honey burst. Mine has the thin font logo tho. But the neck, i played several les pauls in a store to gauge neck sizes. Mine is more a 60s style neck not at all a beafy 50s. I was curious about this aswell most guitars i looked at from the 90s had 60s style necks maybe a little bit thicker

I agree. I would say 60s style.

The binding looks a bit chunkier, especially around the body. Thicker or something.
@RyansCustomShopandGearOutlet
Жыл бұрын
That's the way the binding is supposed to look. I verified with photos sent to Gibson support. Gibson gladly verifies any guitar you have questions about. All they need is a photo of the serial number, and a few good pictures of the front and back of the guitar. I always recommend verifying authenticity with Gibson before you buy any used Gibson guitar.

@@lorimeyers3839 yes, of course. I just always tell people to verify with Gibson because the fakes coming out of China get better all the time.

Yes. It was for my listing, and for viewers to see the amazing beauty of the “good wood” era. Most people hear with their eyes these days anyway.
