Just bought a gorgeous 95 brougham, 38k miles, all original and fully documented, almost dont want to drive it, better than showroom quality, should be in a museum. White, white top, two tone tan Interior, gold trim, vogues, chrome wheel option. Bucket list car..and goodness..I found a special one.

*Now, This 'Caddy' is a Real-Life, Legitimate, Card-Carrying-Member of the ever-so-exclusive ALL-American Luxury Car Guild! 'Hurrah for the Red, White & Blue!' Those of us who were blessed to be the 'Baby Boomer' offspring of members of, 'The Greatest Generation', had the, more-than-awesome, once in a nation's lifetime experience of being raised by fathers who had a, now rarely, if ever mentioned attribute known as, 'Brand Loyalty'. Their Brand Loyalty allowed we young, boneheaded Boomers to use bountiful Cadillac, Lincoln, Buick, Oldsmobile, Mercury... immense package shelves below the rear window as very comfy beds, with the rumble of 400-plus cubic inches of American horsepower deeply purring us to sleep.. That is, until Pop stomped the brakes, for his personal amusement lol! For members of the Millennial, or other younger generations; 'Brand Loyalty' is when a consumer has such a fierce dedication and devotion, an adherent of a particular automobile company, a dedication and reverence, an aficionado of ONE specific make or even model and, ONE ONLY, to the exclusion of ALL others! A 'Brand Loyalist' has such a true, absolute and complete attachment to a particular automotive brand that, even the very thought of buying a different brand was tantamount to Automotive Treason! An example of why anyone would have Brand Loyalty is evidenced in this truly magnificent '93 Cadillac, Fleetwood; a brand and model which were driven only by the most discerning of American Luxury Automobile buyers... Back in the Day. This '93 'Caddy' is indeed one of the very last of TRUE American Luxury Automobiles ever to float out of a Detroit factory. The idea behind the American-Luxury-Automobile, via one, Henry Leland, creator of both Lincoln and Cadillac, was to allow the driver an overall experience of Complete Isolation from the botheration of the outside world's noisy nuisances in an apogee of imposing, cruise-ship-like American Luxury. American Luxury Cars were built upon the ideals of Extreme Comfort Over Function, pampering the driver and passengers alike with a bank vault-like solid-steel serenity, gas mileage be damned!... ashtrays and lighters for everyone and copious amounts of chrome and 'Option Packages' which could nearly doubled the Monroney sticker price. The American Luxury Car Experience had, by 1950 attained the goal of Sheer Automotive Tranquility in the passenger compartment, something usually reserved for Angels playing harps in Heaven. but, most important of all were, To violate the laws of physics in allowing the well dressed owner to float above the pavement with an unattached feeling; no need for any 'Road Feel' here, as you are literally able to steer this 'Luxo-Barge' with faint effort from your pinkie finger and, if there is a bump or pothole, you'll never even know about it. American Luxury Automobiles created the ambiance of a, now forever absent, cloistered opulence no longer found in any car, foreign or American.*

Fun to drive, but expensive & troublesome to maintain.
Dang how I wish they still came in this size. Just make them for the people who want them. The car is made for the ride not to have excellent handling or 0-60 in 4 seconds it’s a cruiser and nobody does it better. Even cars like Ford GT500 or Chevy Corvette, those cars will keep up with practically anything. Don’t get brainwashed into thinking Cadillac is junk. Every car manufacturer has run into problems. Tow truck guy told me that. There was a family in our town who only worked on foreign cars and they became millionaires.

@@Nightbird. the styling on the outside was bland, not Cadillac at all. The dash board looked like a last minute design that did not fit the style of Cadillac. The quality was bad, many people complained about rattles, fit and finish. I think Cadillac had given up on the full size cars and wanted everyone to go to the nobody cars.
@Nightbird.

@@wurly164 I actually liked the exterior styling..especially in darker colors. But the interior was a huge disappointment with it's lack of wood applique like the previous model had and bland everything. However..I had family members who owned the previous model and they complained dearly of unreliability and constant repairs. I drove Lincoln's and was very happy with their quality for the most part. But I do miss all the chrome and elegance both Cadillac and Lincoln had in the past.

New Cadillacs cost twice as much, are half as big and don't have the classy style anymore. It really is a shame they had to make them sporty and follow the Europeans. They will never make cars like this again.
