One of the most well done videos I have seen on KZitem. The timing belt on my Ranger broke and I am going to replace it this weekend. Your video is a huge help. Thanks!!!

Thanks for the vid! Tightening the 13mm tensioner bolt should happen after you rotate the crank 2 rotations.

Dont know if anyone will see this but im pretty sure my timeing skiped a tooth, would i need to take the harmonic balancer off just to adjust the belt? honestly dont see why it would be a problem but would love to hear opinions from other if yall think it would be fine or not. Same year truck only difference is its a mazda b2300 but basically the exact same thing with same motor and all, also timeing belt only has about 20k miles on it and looks good so dont really feel the need to replace it

Personally after seeing how much work is involved with this I feel a lot better about paying the shop the $800 to do all this work to replace my timing belt last week and I'm surprised they didn't charge a bit more. This is an awful lot of work involved.

@@daniel.booth218 You may be able to do it but serious invasive work like this is not something everyone is physically able to do. It's nice that you made this video and I found it because I was curious just how much work is involved with this and what all the shop had to do but I can't physically do this much work even though I want to. I have no choice but to pay someone else to do it, sadly. I own a 1994 Ranger XLT by the way. I love mine.

Screws in my 94 Mazda 2300 were 10 ml At least the one still there was. Not sure yet about the one I broke off. Looks like I going to have to remove what you called accessory gear to be able to deal with it. It is the top one. Also the pin that helps align the sensors is in the bracket itself not where I have been seeing them in videos. Feels like I can turn something by one finger where the top bolt is broken but it does not come out. Thinking maybe it is not in far enough to catch the threads, so the accessory gear might have to come off so I can deal with it, if I decide too. For all I know someone may have cha need the engines because I am not sure that that gear is blocking the rest of that screw from coming out.

For some reason the screws on the crank sensor on my 94 Mazda 2300 took a 10 ml. I assume the one I broke will be the same.
